You know those liberal, progressive, moveon.org supporting, NPR listening, hummus eating, organic local produce buying, Planned Parenthood-volunteering, birth control-popping, feminist anti-Americans Fox News warned you about? I’m one of them.

Happy Presidency, Barry O!
Four years ago, I was in Washington, D.C. for President Obama’s inauguration. I was one of the 2 million on the mall, waiting in the cold before the sun came up, excited and hopeful and looking toward the future.
We took a long road trip from Austin to D.C. with a couple of stops across the way. First, we stopped in Little Rock, Arkansas to visit the high school where the Little Rock Nine took the first steps towards desegregating our schools. Then we stopped in Memphis at the Lorraine Motel and I spent some time in the Civil Rights museum, where I bemoaned the lack of women represented in the powerful documentation of the struggle for civil rights.
We ended it in D.C. where we were packed into the metro, encouraged an elderly woman to make it up the broken escalator, moved en mass like a school of fish toward the mall, and I cried when Barack Obama was sworn in.
His first term has been problematic in no uncertain terms, but I will never forget the euphoric feeling of hope and the belief that a better United States was possible. I still believe that, and that’s why I work in politics.
Any way, HAPPY INAUGURATION DAY EVERYONE! :)
Taxes on the wealthy are going up, House Speaker John Boehner conceded on Wednesday in challenging President Barack Obama to sit down with him to hammer out a deal for avoiding the fiscal cliff.
The statement to reporters reflected how negotiations on reducing the nation’s chronic federal deficits and debt have evolved since Obama’s re-election last month.

Joe Biden is seeing me through the hard times.
I’ll bet you one pair of kickass tube socks that Obama is going to win on November 6th.
I got tired of waiting for my official Joe Biden Can Holder, so I made one myself!
I’d like to carry this gifset around with me so I can hold it up to people who ask me “Ugh why are you voting Obama”
Duh.

A few women for Obama you may recognize.
P.S. there are a LOT more women in this video, including my fellow Texans Eva Longoria and Beyonce Knowles.
